Do you ever look back at a certain era and think, "wow, I would totally rock this now!"? Trends have a funny way of always making a come back and the iconic Clueless styles are no exception. The 90s were a huge influence on pop-culture with a range of creative expressions through fashion. Cher's variety in styles showed us you can be trendy AND timeless at the same time.
Meet Bridget Dougherty, our modern day Cher.

"In the same way as Cher, I am a very bubbly gal. She’s such a fun person who leads with her heart and genuine intentions. I love how she was never afraid to be authentically herself. I found so much inspiration from her in how you can have your style be all over the map, not be defined as one niche look, and how that makes styling so much fun.

My career really fosters me to stay true to that bubbly-ness I have. I work in event management as the assistant on the Running Programs at Dana Farber where we manage different fundraisers for races, one of our biggest being the Boston Marathon. Growing up, I always had a knack for attention to detail, coordination, and thinking on my feet. I credit that to my days working the backstage of theater productions in high school. It's refreshing to know that a hobby of mine lead me to my profession.

Throughout this time of quarantine, I've realized I have such an appreciation for personal style. Dressing up and well has a huge effect on your energy and motivation for the day. It’s important to not lose sight of that during this work from home time.

If I could go back and tell my younger self anything, I'd say wear the sneaks! Don’t force yourself to wear heels. Platform sneakers go with everything and are WAY more comfortable, so who cares?!
Also, don’t feel tied to a way you dressed like in the past. You will get to a point where you feel confident enough to express yourself as truly you and actually feel great doing it. That’s the Cher energy we all need."
